They needed a story told with purpose. A report that said: “we move a state” but also, “we serve a community”. Our brief was to craft a modern, accessible annual report that presents rigorous data with design smarts, supports government‑style compliance, and uses photography to bring the infrastructure and people behind the stats into the frame. We were brought in early to lead creative direction, plan shoots and align visuals, tone and messaging to create a document that had to land internally, publicly and digitally.

The outcome is a 160‑page publication produced end‑to‑end by Studio Scotts. Infographics, image‑led spreads and bold typography work together to reflect the momentum and ambition of WA’s transport future. Every photo from the train driver’s portrait to the busy station scene, was captured to anchor the story in real places, real people. With complete in‑house print and production, we ensured colour, finish and delivery all aligned with the PTA’s standards and ours. The final result: a report that speaks with authority, but still feels relatable.
